Genre Reader

The genre approach is very much a part of the Outcomes Based Education approach adopted in the new language syllabus implemented under the Reform.  The Genre Reader is a compilation of writings from the popular PNG Journals, distributed to PNG schools regularly each year.

The stories that best reflect the different genres have been selected from these journals and reproduced in this unique and valuable student resource.  Every piece of writing in this collection has been written by a Papua New Guinean, as the book effectively demonstrates the various genres and displays the wonderful talent of PNG writers.
